Thanks to an exclusive core sizing, each sheet offers astounding absorbency, as the ph-neutral internal & external fibers hold pigment in place without over-saturation. The heavyweight surface withstands multiple layers of paint with minimal warping & is suitable for water-based mediums such as ink, gouache & acrylic painting. Available as cold press, hot press & rough for different textures: choosing the right surface can impact the success of your piece just as much as skill level & paint quality. Cold press: wet paper pulp is pressed onto a cylinder mould & dried between layers of absorbent fabric, ensuring the texture: or "tooth": created by the mould remains intact. This texture provides balanced absorbency & allows for expressive, improvised strokes, making it a favorite for landscape paintings, expressionist portraits & urban sketching. This paper is natural white, a warm, slightly creamy tone for a traditional, soft aesthetic.
